Convict Breakout Predicted

It’s been a bit quiet here on the CR Blog … but we have been working hard on making some great new stuff. For 2025 we’ve shifted from a programme of many (monthly) small releases to investing some time to create some much bigger things.

Apropos of which … we are gearing up for a really REALLY big announcement in a few days in relation to the standalone Convicts & Cthulhu RPG (a self-contained game powered by the Cthulhu Eternal Age of Revolutions SRD, and greatly expanding on the Convict-era stuff we released in 2016-2019). There will be two initial releases, a 70-page Quickstart (free in PDF, also available in softcover POD) and a 312-page core rulebook (PDF and hardback POD). We are hoping to have both released in September-October time frame … see below for some cover pics!

One consequence of this big reboot of Convicts & Cthulhu is that we will be discontinuing the older sourcebook (written for Call of Cthulhu, 7th Edition and available as PYWY). If you have been holding off on grabbing a copy of that — especially if you wanted it in print — I would suggest placing an order in the coming weeks before it disappears from DTRPG.
