Scenarios in Print
The year is rapidly running out, but we’ve somehow herded the cats to release TWO final Cthulhu Eternal books for 2024. Each is a softcover print book collecting a pair of our most popular PDF scenarios, all from our “Lost Masterpieces” line (scenarios by famous authors never previously released).
The individual PDF scenarios included in these books have all been previously described here on the blog (and are linked to in the “Our Scenarios” section of the site). Here are the links to the softcover book titles which bundle them into glorious softcover horrors:
We get asked a lot (almost weekly!) why we haven’t yet released print versions of the ~20 Cthulhu Eternal scenarios we’ve released over the past three years … this is our first experiments with creating a format that allows for 60-80pp books rather than small pagecount single scenario books.
For this pair we’ve gone with a flipbook “double-a-sided” format, where the second scenario is printed reversed and upside down so you can flip the book to make either the “front”. In publisher-speak these are called Tête-bêche books. If you ever bought the old Games Workshop “Statue of the Sorcerer”, it’s just like that. We’ll see how well that works out as a format.

We hope that fans of classic-era Lovecraftian roleplaying will recognize these older scenarios (resurrected from Essential Saltes and given a 21st century deluxe layout) as valuable pieces of gaming history … although they work equally well as modern-day games which still provide the requisite chills for a Mythos investigation.
